Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I had a look this arvo. It looks like the tank bolts on to mounts on the cross members front and rear of the tank. these mounts seem to be in two sections, so it looks like I can remove the bit mounted to the tank and it will lift about two inches and bolt straight to the upper mount attatched to the x-members. Just wondering this is the case, and it was designed to be able to be lifted without too much rooting around or modifying mounts.

Im thinking this might be the case as the brake lines etc are "pigtailed" from facory to allow body lift, so why not the fuel tank mounts too.

Does anyone know if this is the case or just wishful thinking.

I was looking at mine the other day after putting in 3" lift (89 4runner).
And think it not that hard I wasa going to pack it up with something and use the bolts that were left after the lift.
The only problem I see are the fuel lines on top of the tank but i think they might stretch. Fabricating the bash plate or making a new one.
If your doing it tomorrow let us know how it went I'll be doing mine next week.
