Viscous Fan Hub Bearing - TD42

Help!

I pulled my fan hub out of my GQ TD42 to service it as per the various posts in this forum, but have found that the bearing is stuffed and wont hold the silicon fluid in the hub. (that's where it all leaked out of in the first place  ).

It doesn't appear to me that the bearing is serviceable - at least I can't work out how to get to it.. :?

Can anyone confirm whether its possible to replace the bearing, and if so, how? Where can I get a new bearing?

Cheers!

Its buggered, you will have to buy a whole new unit (except fan).

Thanks mkpatrol.

Doh! Thought as much.

Saw one on ebay for $110 (free delviery!!) Don't know what Ni$$an want. Might try a wreckers as I've still got plenty of fluid to service one.

Cheers!

I just recently bought one for TB42e. Davies Craig make 'em and their about $200 from supacrap and autobarn. (i've been told from more than one source that these are shite)

I think nissan want about $350 for 'em. I ended up getting one from Don Kyatt's in Moorabbin for $185 and it's Peraut, which is what Nissan use, so it's OE.

Deisel is cheaper. $110 C/W $185. tRY kYATT'S, YOU MAY BE ABLE TO GET ONE FOR $110 WITHOUT PAYING FREIGHT (AND IT'S oe, NOT DAVIES CRAIG OR WOTEVER THEY SUPPLY)

sorry about caps, accidently hit caps lock and too drunk/hungover to change it now
