A cheap fix would be to wind a new chain on. Just remove the rocker cover and wedge large screwdrivers down the side of the head so that they are putting pressure on the timing chain and cam gear ( so the timing chain cannot disslodge from the cam gear) and zip tie them together so they dont go anywhere.
Slowly wind the motor around by hand so that the joining link is at the top of the cam gear. Undo the link and join the new chain to the old one. Get someone to SLOWLY wind the motor over in a clockwise direction (looking from the front) while you hold the chains and stop the screwdrivers from disslodging. Once the new chain is wound on , join the link back up and you're done.
This will work most of the time however if it's still noisy then the only way to repair it is to remove the timing cover (head does'nt need to come off) and replace the chain, guides and tensioner.
Hope this helps... just remember to take your time!
