Hey all, i remember bragging about how good the coily flexes on stock susp. so i think its about time to show some pics. It would be good to compare with a leafy on stock suspension (NO SPOA)
Remember the only modification i have done to the suspension is removed the front swaybar.

No rubbing, however the front shocks bottom out quite easily, which will be replaced with some which have longer travel, when i do the lift sometime soon.

Cheers

its ok pretty much the same as a stock leafspring. your photo of the front wheel in the air is very characteristic of coiler suspension set up. a steel bulbar might help to some extent and maybe a bigger engine and duel batteries. (all to get the suspension working offcourse. ;) )

Yeh i have all those mods on my wishlist atm.

but i consider myself lucky so far, ive pushed the car relatively hard and havent broken, twisted or bent anything besides panels so far - but i do take certain measures to prevent that occurring.

RBZook, im curious. How did you bend your control and trailing arms, and how hard do you need to be wheeling to twist them?

Cheers

the control arms bend while flexed and under load
with the rockhoppers puts plenty of torque throu the drive line and with bigger tyres it doesnt take much for them to bend.

I recon that cool looking leafy mq in background would flex better than you zook.
