Heater control Lights

G'Day All,
Just a small issue but it really gets to me.
When I turn the lights on our D1a the lights behind the heater control (temp dials, fan control, AC etc) dont come on very often and you need to hit the dash
for them to come on....sometimes they just dont come on
Its seems like a bad earth or something...any ideas on a fix....has anybody seen this aswell?
