I have a 1991 Sierra and am upgrading suspension and tyres.

Is it possible to run 30" tyres with only 2" OME spring lift with no rub in the guards or on the suspension? What offset will I need on the rims?

My goal is to have a Sierra with a lot of flex, but with a low centre of gravity.

Your biggest deciding factor will be rim offset. I am guessing you will be running 7" rims. A slightly negative offset (say -15) is probably the easiest rim to source, and should do the job. I would be inclined to try it out, if you can, before ordering etc.

just remember using spring lift still allows the axel to travel just as far up as it did with standard springs, so you will either need to extend bump stops or body lift, or cut. the latter option is better

no need to cut guards, just bash all the seams in the wheel arch and bend the top rim of the arch up as much as possible. Cut off the bumper mount though...I've just got sagged 2" springs and run 31 pedes which measure 32 and they rub a bit but 30's would have no probs.

I agree just bash the seams flat on the firewall and you should be fine.
