How to fit....

Post by 80diesel4play »

How do I make a PTO fit a body lifted front?

I will be fitting a PTO soon and am wondering how to get around the body lift issues - the bar will be standard, bolted onto chassis lifted ends to suit the body lift.

Do I cut then stitch up the rad support to allow clear access for the driveshaft? is this a good option?

The chasis ends are professionally done and have increased the strength there due to gussets and plating.

Ideas and suggestions please- and no - not going highmount! :D

Hi Paul
The hole in the middle of the front support is where the PTO shaft comes through////you wont need to mod any of the brackets that bolt the pto top the chassis....you may wish to grind off the welds that hold the bar to the pto bracket and move the bar up whatever the chassis lift is....or you could simply put another piece of pipe ontop of the one there that is 2 inch diameter, and that would make it look like it was ment to be that way aswell as strengthern it further.
