Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hello everyone, i just bought a 98 hilux with a long range tank. I was wondering if the fuel guage is incorrect because it was a back yarder who didnt bother with a different sender or is it just a live with it attitude. I also didnt want to ask "could my sender be broken" but just in case, I am.
