the inlet plenum can be unbolted (6/8 allen key bolts i think) and turned 180degree But factory air intake should be off the passenger side i think.

from memory the lockless defender had its inlet manifold flipped around for easier air intake .. that may be the problem???

flip her the right way around mite help with the kickdown cable.. but not sure how it'll help with the air intake... (very vague memory there)

Yeah the old lockless fender did have it spun as the donk is now in the homeless and when we put that motor in we had to spin it back as to get the airfilter to fit somewhere.

does it have much of an effect on the idle? ie does it stall? i spose you drive it in first anyway, and shift to 2 and 3 when needed, and not use Drive at all?

Same here andrew Mine is not connected. Doesnt seem to have any effect on anything YET I think ruff has said previous that it will over time but me thinks the way we treat them it will crap itself before there is an issue with the kick down. I would leave it for now and down the track when everything else is done then have a play with it. Maybe even try an auto shop to gey maybe a custom one mad up. Or ring tony or sam and ask them what they did about the issue?
