Driveline upgrades for running 35" tyres on LJ70.

Presently I am driving around on 31" AT tyres on my 2.4LT LJ70, or bundy.
The vehicle has been given uprated suspension, coils and shocks.
When mounting 35" XT's on steel rims the vehicle becomes very slow and sluggish.
What other driveline upgrades, of any, do I need to do?

the sluggishness comes from having all that extra tyre to turn, i.e a big tyre turns slower than a small tyre and knocks your gearing out and speedo
as for stuff to so to remedy it, ive just got used to its new slowness, hell it was never meant to be fast, if id wanted to go fast i'd have a car
but watch the chassis in the rear wheel arches theres some tube that pokes into the arch, which has the capability to take out a sidewall when really crossed up
other than that a straight through exhaust has given mine a little bit exra power

Change your diff ratio's to 4.88's, look into some strengthened CV's, maybe lockers aswell...

My stock 22R goes like the clappers with 4.8:1 diffs (you need 2
) and 35's , been like it since 1989

Standard for LJ70 with 2LT is 4.8:1 diffs anyway, of course I have them already!!

320hp and plenty of juice more.
Or your dream 1KZ.

my rj70 was slow as with 33's and 4.1's had to ride the clutch to take off and all
id hate to have driven it with 35's
but meh it will haul when im finished with the v8 conversion lol
if someone tells you any bundera goes like the clappers i gaurentee you the fastest car they have driven is a 2 litre deisel hilux

I know a cuy just bought a 2JZ to replace his 4.2d in an 80 series.
428 V8? Nah....thats taking the micky
