clutch problem
clutch problem
weve just fitted a new clutch to my mates patrol running a vn 5.0l, haveing problems adjusting clutch. the slave cylinder doesn't appear to be traveling enough to diengage the clutchweve adjusted the push rods to the point were the trow out bearing is resting on the preasure plate with the clutch engaged and it only just realease the clutch. pedal height is adjusted to the limit, though it is sitting 30mm lower then spesification. master cylinder was replaced 1 month ago by a mecanic and the slave cylinder isnt leaking. weve bleed the system about 10 times
I had this problem last week too when fittin a bigger clutch, does ur fulcrum pin have a thread on it to wind the fulcrum arm in and out? When i put a bigger clutch in i had to wind the pin further in2 the bellhousin 2 get clutch 2 work. Look at the angle of the fulcrum arm, it shud sit parallel to the flywheel, if the slave end of the arm is nearer 2 the engine that'll be ya problem
