ok i have done a rear leaf reversal to gain a few extra inches in wheel length..

i am installing extended shackles whilst keeping the stock leafs with this though i have to install new shackle mounts and new fixed end spring mounts

i am just wondering wat distances people have from the fixed end to the shackle mount

as well as wat angles they have on their shackles ??

all measurements centre of eye to centre of eye

1. You measure the compressed length of the spring
2. deduct the length of the shackle.
3. Add 15mm.

This is the correct distance to have your front mount and shackle eye appart

i have noticed its taking a verylong time to do this mod zero. Whats the reason mate, is it just a case of time and money or is there more to it. im interested in doing this in the future to my rig, i will wait untill you have done everything ofcourse :D , worked out what and what not to do and i will start. i would have thought 1 to 3 weeks would be stretching it seems easy enough on paper.

yeah it has been taking a long time patchy reason for this is money

have had all my rego insurance and wat not bills come in at once so there is that along with gym 3 times a week and working full time as a sparky all i get is weekends really

cant work nites as the neighbour has already said stuff to council

and i got other mates Chops and badger who also have project trucks so yeah

but i got some $$$ up now and i got my welder so it shouldnt be too long till its all back on the road

to be honest it would have taken only a couple of weeks 4 at the most if i could get some decent time into it but yeah
