Roof Rack (will a rack from a 60 series fit an 80 series)

Roof rack is an ECB with fixed guter mounts.

Hey Bruiser, unfortunately they dont fit. Cant remember which is which but the width between the gutters is wider on one of them. Ring ECB and ask to confirm if you like.

Marshal from this forum put roof racks from an 80 onto his 60. From memory he said the 60 had a slightly wider gutter and there was a little bending involved.

60 gutter to gutter is about 1360mm (according to the 1983 FJ60 shitbox I'm wrecking). 80 from memory is about 40mm narrower so probably measures about 1320mm. Measure yours Bruiser and see how you go. As MQ080 said depending on the type of gutter mounts the rack has you might be able to bend them in to fit but it will probably look silly.

Thought they would be different.
Just checking cause there is one in the trading post to suit a 60.
Not keen on having to mod it.
Will just wait till one comes up that suits.

Depends on type of racks. I just recently sold an ARB rack off my GQ and fitted it to my bro's GU (about 70mm narrower than GQ gutters). If it's adjustable it'll fit.
