I've been running second airs now for about 2 years and there great. The only problem I had was finding someone willing to have a go at fitting them.Ezookiel wrote:So, while we're discussing beadlocks, they may not have the visible bling factor of external beadlocks, but has anyone tried the second air type?
Which is the cheapest option to get done professionally by someone as I'm not able to even think about welding some onto the wheels myself?
Thanks in advance
Zook
doesn't really surprise me actually.Mick. wrote: The only problem I had was finding someone willing to have a go at fitting them.

What's changed?Mczook wrote:
The second air is not the same as the new Staun beadlock. Staun have a new design and now have a manufacturing factory in Qld.

. You could just go for the Stauns as your use is not going to require mechanical double beadlock otherwise you could get Shane's Stazworks double beadlocks & swampers and re-redrill the centres
.
The second air is not the same as the new Staun beadlock. Staun have a new design and now have a manufacturing factory in Qld. ats4x4dotcom is right that are not for everyone but the new design is far more funtional to fit. If you want the best of both worlds go the Stazworks double beadlock but be ready to pay for it, well at least if you get from me![]()
Ezookiel we can weld them up for you and if anyone in melbourne, canberra or Sydney need welding give us a call
Cheers Sean
Give me a call and I am sure we can sort you out with a set of the new lower profile and easier to fit Stauns.. They should work out at a reasonable price. That said we both know Pip does a top job to produce a quality product and being so close it might work out better for u. Horses for course but there is always an option out there to suit most needsmattlux wrote:Mczook wrote:Browny why dont you just get Pip to make you a setmattlux wrote:Hi guys anyone know who does cheap weld on bead lock kits in melbourne areaotherwise Gonads has them in stock

Thanks shaun me and pip are getting 6mm inners cut out and just buying outers, pip is designing some outers now but wont work out as cheap as the rolled ones, i would love stauns but just cant afford them and mechanical work fine i think.
Thanks shaun there is no hurry and there is a hundred more things to get it up and going first, just building it up slowly in the spare time, cheers mattMczook wrote:Give me a call and I am sure we can sort you out with a set of the new lower profile and easier to fit Stauns..
