surf bubling water sound?

so i went for a drive in a surf right
i floored it...
and in the engine bay i can hear like a water boiling/bubling sound...
is this a problem or what?
normal?
water cooled turbo or what

i have nfi

(its a 1992)

Do it again, then stop and quickly look under the bonnet while it's bubbling to see where the sounds coming from. Look at your overflow bottle which may be bad news if it's bubbling :cry:

Don't open the radiator when it's hot, as you would know ;)

when its cold make sure the rad is full leave the cap off and run the car check for bubbles coming out of the radiator

even let the car get warm enough so it cracks the thermostate open

if you have bubbles coming threw the rad you probably have a headgasket gorne or even worse a cracked head

take it to a rad shop or a mechanic to confirm your prob

its not a constant thing
like i'll hammer it...
once revs reach real high, that water flowing sounds happens...
change gears and its gone....
and wont happen again until it goes down a gear and i hammer it again

is the heater on HOT, could it be water flowing through the heater core under the dashboard

That pic has to be photo chopped.

I get a funny bubbling sound from the emmision control shite but nothing you can hear over the engine/tyres/stereo

I Think that the pic was at Fraser island and the surf got stuck on the beach.
and the water did the rest.

was on cold today and didnt make the sound at all...
