Hey,

Im lookin into buying a GQ but i want to know a few things...


1. What year did the utes come out with coils FnR and discs FnR? And is it avaliable in petrol and Diesel (is the petrol injected or carby?)

2. Do all wagons have coils and discs FnR?

3. Correct me if im wrong but was the RB30 a carby motor? What year did the ditch that n get injected petrol


If im wrong with anything here please correct me.

1 utes never came out at a certain year with 4 wheel coils and discs, you can still but a GU ute now with leaf rear, so you pretty much have to check them out id also think the leaf rears had drums also

2 all wagons have coils front and rear in the GQ variant, but not all have 4 wheel discs, some have rear drums, especially in the earlier models before 1992 i believe

3 RB30 is a carby motor, they sold RB30 and TB42 at the same time i believe, i also believe they injected motor came about in 1993 or there abouts, i also believe they never released an injected SWB

late 93 was when the utes were offered with coil rear, as stated above though they still offerd the leaf rear and leaf all round as well.

I dont think the ute ever had an RB30, but only cause i have never seen one it could just be rare.
