J7 Jamboree
I am pleased to announce that the OnAll4s have committed to running the Jamboree over Easter next year.
It will be held at Dargle Ski Park, so it's closer for nearly everyone, considering the price of fuel that should please a lot of you
Jamie Smith and Richard Roe will be coordinating the event, with the website on its way within a week or 2.
We already have had a number of clubs coming forward offering help with the events and we will be talking to you all soon.
It is planned that the events will be similar in style to some of the Black Rat Challenge ones, with provision made for dead standard off-the-showroom-floor cars.
More info as we finalise!

Re: J7 Jamboree
That is the absolute best news. It was appearing that the 4WD Club's Jamboree was a thing of the past, which would be a great pity. So it is bloody good to see On all 4's step up to the plate, well done.4x4chrissy wrote:I am pleased to announce that the OnAll4s have committed to running the Jamboree over Easter next year.

Umm ... maybe ... I plan to, but as Jamie put it , it depends on how the organisation for the Jamboree runs, if everything is going smoothly there shouldn't be a problem. It also depends on the enthusiasm of the other clubs involved, can they cope with another event so close? They would only be 2 months apart, at the same venue.GU Junkie wrote:Christine
Does this mean that Black Rat will go back to the June long w/e. ?
We had our first meeting/planning excercise today, and the Suzuki Club was definitely mentionedPodge wrote:That is the absolute best news. Richard will be contacting you and other clubs who have either expressed interest in helping or he wants to deal with shortly.
We are confident this is going to be a truly great Jamboree

Camping will be in the paddocks ... for those who know the property, from just after the cattle yards.

Extra info ....
You can book a powered site in the ski park if you want to but it will cost you extra (camping is included in the Jamboree fee for on site only, the park is a separate operation) and it should be done soon because they are nearly booked out .... according to the owner as of the weekend

Cheers. Haven't missed a Jambo since Milbrodale 98 and would hate to miss J7. Please understand that being 600 klicks west of Sydney I've never been to a Woodpecker or Blackrat, so don't know the area/location and hence the above question.4x4chrissy wrote: It sort of is ... There is no "I" in Team, but there are 5 in Individual Brilliance
Rule #1: "They must have doors and a windscreen, and they must resemble the vehicle on the rego papers"
I realise that this is aiming for the likes of half tube buggies etc, but just gotta ask, verify and clear the air: Bushies and Jeep Wranglers dont have real doors. They ok for entry?
(Hate to drive six hours, turn up at the entry gate and have to turn around coz the vehicle doesnt have any doors)

Wranglers: I'd assume should be ok. They're ex-factory like that, from a large well know manufacturer. You can buy them off the showroom floor like that. It's a Jeep thing
The 'spirit' of Jamborees are that it's aimed at club 4WDers with moderately modified vehicles, that keep the essence of the vehicle at heart.
'Buggy' type vehicles as we all know are purpose built for competition, and to be fair, a few that have appeared at the NSW 'mainstream' comps in recent years are pushing the boundaries when it comes to 'road registered'.
JMO.....

Thats fine, as long as they came from the factory that way, the rule is just there to stop people taking the doors off something lke a 40s etc, you can also have cut down doors, as long as the door is still higher than the seat base, as long as there is still enough door there to stop your leg from falling out during a roll over, it's Okbushy555 wrote:Rule #1: "They must have doors and a windscreen, and they must resemble the vehicle on the rego papers"

The rules will be kept fairly lax at this event, there would be very few (if any) vehicles that won't gain entry.
