carbie problems

i have a two barrel carbie of and early corrola and it has an elec soliniod on it for fuel does any ony seen these or got them on there hilux. What i would like to know is when is it atcive when the car starts or when its running under full revs im not sure what weather to wire it up so it on with the igntion anyone else come across this anyhelp would be greatful
