(I have a self-diagnosed condition of excessive list making - sorry)

For a Jimny engine conversion to go into a 1991 Sierra I need:
G13bb Engine (from 1998-2000 Jimny)
Jimny wiring loom (& diagram)
Jimny ECM
Jimny radiator hoses
Jimny airbox + hoses?
Jimny headers
Jimny heater hoses
Jimny engine bay fuse box for fuses and power leads (thanks Spike)


Don't need:
Jimny/fabricated engine mounts - bolts straight in
Engine-gearbox adaptor - bolts straight on


Questions / How do I:
Will new engine fit without a body-lift?

I understand that a High pressure fuel pump is required, and that high pressure lines are also required. How do I do this?

Where do I find a Jimny Wiring diagram?

Do I need jimny starter-motor?

Will I need any other instructions, or is it relatively simple?

Is the Jimny Air-con able to simply bolt in?

How do I set up the speedo, i.e. what is VSS?

Is there anything else I've missed

*sierra radiator will work and hoses line up.

*heater hoses won't(Iknow they don't in m13a)

*VSS can either be adapted to your transfer case joe at 4play VIC can help with this or your can use the speedo from an efi vitara as it has a Vehicle Speed Sensor running off the back of the speedo unit. Speedo unit bolts straight into the sierra cluster.

*either you will need an efi fuel tank or a late model coily sierra tank with inbuilt swirl pot or run external fuel pot and low and high pressure pumps feeding the engine.

* don't need the air box but will need the air flow meter from jimny.

* Sierra speedo still works as it runs off the transfer....

that's about all I can think of now...

g13bb doesnt use a air flow meter it uses a Map sensor, so you can use either old airbox or new airbox,

starter motor from either vehicle
clutch flywheel from either vehicle(change your throughout bearing while its all out ($40)

I havnt changed my fuel lines as i asked the guy at the fuel hose place and he said it wasnt neccesary, but if you want to you just need to replace the rubber hoses at either end of the car. The fuel pump can be mounted onto the chassis just near the body mount is near the back of the drivers door. I use a vl fuel pump , and nothing else, some others use a pre pump and surge tank( just like an extra fuel tank that gets filled from the pre pump to stop the vl pump running dry), but ive never had a problem, and ive been on some angles. They are around 180 brand new from ripco.

Jimny heater hoses for engine through firewall

air con will bolt on if you have the brackets . might need to change the fittings on the end of your air con lines im not sure if they are the same.

im pretty sure it will fit without a body lift as unlike the vitara motor the intake doesnt go over the rocker cover.

I didnt bother about VSS, as it was way over my head and i was getting really good fuel economy even though it said i wouldnt.

You can use the standard speedo cable.

I mounted the computer under the dash on the roof behind the glove box, drilled a hole with a hole cutter and plugged the loom in that way( the loom came with a big grommet so it sealed up the hole.

You will need the headers and if possible about 30cm of the old exhaust just after the headers, as this makes making the new exhaust alot easier and cheaper, as they would have to fab up a flange to meet the headers otherwise.

You can get a wiring diagram off that suzuki info site that SKB posted up, but if that doesnt work i have the complete jimny manual i can send you.

also watch when putting the engine in, that the intake manifold doenst get caught up with the brake lines going into the master cylinder, you should be able to bend them a bit to clear.
