Im new to the GQ seen sence i sold my MK. Im have a 1988 swb GQ and in going to put a 2"lift and 2"body lift in.
Im looking at running M/t MTZ and was wondering if the LT315/75R16 wich is 34" tyre would fit with the lift im doing. I dont want to go no higher with suspension as it is a daily driver and is going to be used to tow the caravan around during travels.
Any help and experence would be great.

should fit fine, may need a little guard trimming but proobably not with 34's.
I've got 2+2 lift and cut guards and it'll fit 36's without scraping.

will fit OK, ideally you should fit radius arm spacers too, this will negate the need to trim the front guards

Im going to be installing all 3rds rear trailing arms, panhard bars, tie rod and drag link. There is no need for the front control arms as it is ony a 2" lift. I will see how they go with out spaces, if they rub a little ill get my brother to cut and lip guards again properly or just get 30mm coil spacers.

35's. I have 35's on 4" suspension lift on my GQ swb, if I had my time again I would go 2"bdy 2" sus. IHMO going your route has more benefits then a 4" suspension..
I would recommend a quarter chop and gaurd trim at the rear. This will let you fit a wrap around cheezy style rear bar and also the gaurd trim will allow the 35's to actually flex without hitting the gaurds.
FIt the tyres without radius arm spacers first as you may get lucky. I have not had the 35's rub on my front at all, even under fulll lock in a crossed up situation. Its the every car is different thing.
Another point which probably wont get made but IMHO is fairllly important when modding. Putting 35's on under a total 4" lift will make the car look 'stock'
ish. It will look big yeah but the tyres will fill the gaurds and it wont have that lifted far too high look, an important characteristic if you are too be driving around unengineered (which we dont condone here

)

It wont be driven around not engineered, i was going to put all new radius arms in anyway just for the strength. I have spoken to my engineer and he has approved all mods to be done in accordance with new laws that will be coming in eventually. Just have to see if i can squeze the 34s past him befor i go and buy them, as they will be my all purpose tyres.

It'll fit. But 285/75's will be far better to drive around town & tow with.

Its going to get new diff gears aswell and transfer gears so the size isnt a matter as it will be geared to suit. I dont have the space too have 2 sets of tyres and this size tyre seems to be the best allround tyre size for my lift and purposes.
