Hi guys. ive just bought Maxidrives from LRA in melbourne(great blokes)

wheres a good place in BRISBANE to get a diff lapped/carrier fitted?
thanks

edit:melbourne
Yesterday i grabbed a 24 spline diff from a 95 disco from AJG Spares in brisbane and a RHS electric mirror for $350. The young part-time bloke there was really helpfull, recommended.

My plan at the moment is too drop diff and maxi carrier(with all bearings needed etc) off at arb so they can fit the crownwheel to the carrier then fit and lap everything so its all smick.
then Subaman and I will fit the accuator and everything else.

If you are willing to drive down the coast - Ring up Mal Story (maxi-drive) - he doesn't do the fitting any more but he can give you the details of a guy that used to work for him who now has his own rover buisness and does the installs for Mal.

Alrighty, what is wrong with Isuzurover's suggestion???? I must be losing my mind, but why didn't you just buy the locker from Maxidrive if you live in the south end of Brisane?????

To my knowledge Maxidrive themselves are located down the coast not south end of Brisbane.
Great suggestion I appreciate the help but would rather not drive down the coast to get a carrier fitted.(in my 3.5l V8) :P

I found the local Maxidrive dealer which is Mr Automotive in RedCliff but they wanted $1950 pickup.
LRA was $1870 delivered for free.(great blokes who've been recommended)
Also other reasons regaurding Mr A that gave me the willies but no big deal.

Well ten minutes out of town (from what I recall), right on the freeway.

Are you saying you can not buy direct????? Always could when I lived there. Too bad Mal is not fitting anymore. When I would go there, he would buy your old junk off you and give you a club discount plus install at a very good rate.

Ricks 4WD, Nerang - 5596 6662.

Rick is the man - worked at MD back when they did servicing/fitting (Key 4WD)

He doesn't do the actual diff lapping himself but will take care of the install, hands tied. Just take a number, wait in line. They're usually booked out 4 weeks in advance.

He looked after my locker / 4.10 R&P installs on the P38a - which is not something ARB would do on a regular basis....
