In a mates county he's got a late 3.9 with early hi-comp heads all with holden 5ltr EFI gear and an ACE computer... (thats all we know about the motor other than the fact it fly's)
Its recently started pinging on petrol and LPG 4000rpm+ on LPG and 2k+ on petrol. With a noticable loss in power, and it has been running fine for quite awhile.
we've checked all the obvious, leads, plugs, cap, rotor, coil, replaced quite a few vacuum hoses and the Throttle Body and accellerator cables seem to be fine to... what else could be causing it?
Cheers
Simon

Sounds like timing to me, just move the dizzy left or right and see if it comes good. Timing mark on balancer can slip.

Check max advance, should stop advancing at 3800, and with hi comp needs to be no more than about 25 degrees.

Definately like to catch up, PM when you have dates!
Have some good tracks and scenery down south.
I'll be away May to end of June at this stage, Doing the spectator thing at the OBC, And heading off up to the Kimbereleys after.
A good Red; Pinot or Cab Sav will be more than adequate thanks.
