Technical sites /info regardin swing away tyre carriers

As it says im after any info /sites and pics of swing away wheel carriers .....Maybe some 1 has 1 that they can take pics of for us ........
Contemplatin moddin me rear bar again to have one of these ..............Its gunna be hard to have a 37" in the back of a shorty mav with a rear seat complete with rugrat
and i dont really want thaT much weight hangin off the back door (if it would fit )

it will actually fit on the back door if you carry it dead flat. That way it won't bust your taillight when you open it, and you can squish it out of the way to open the LH door. Heaps of weight hanging off a bit of tin though.
when I was talking to the engineer dude last time I asked him about tail-light visibility and such if I was to put a spare on the bak again. He got out the protactors and stuff and worked it out. Fo a 37~38 inch tyre it has to be mounted dead centre to be legal. And has to be quite close to the doors.

Still unsure of wat my exact plans are ...........even if i build a tyre carrier off theback thats still alot of weight up pretty high and so far back
wonder if i can get one of those space saver spares like all the import cars seem to have

Well, that poxy Ziggybuilt 80 series carried its spare on a roofrack, along with the portable crane that used to fit on one corner of the rack to lift and lower the spare.

Keep in mind that these things are pretty blood heavy .. I weighed one of my 35x12.5 claws on a crappy 15x8 steel wheel the other day .. 44Kg .. dunno if I would want something that heavy on my roof ..
