Ive just got my patrol back on the road with a new head. now ive noticed that when i drive normal on the road, the tacho makes sudden movements, up and down, any theorys on whats happening? seek help and advice before i break it again.....

I assume we are talking TD42 and not RD28 diesel engine?
Tacho sensor is on the front casing just below the alternator and is 2 wires running down from a plug mounted at front of intake manifold to an oval shaped cover plate held in by two 10mm bolts.coffen wrote:the tacho reads of the altinator
