What mods do you usually do when hotting up the pump on a TD42 ?

How far do you want to go? A 12mm head and rotor, some are better than others, boost compensator with mods, different delivery valves and holders, diff cam plate. The list can be endless.

You will then need a turbo and induction system to match.

Hope this helps.

I know that vn15 has put in a 12mm head and plunger in his RD28T with great results. So i was thinking about doing the same on a friends TD42 and my RD28, so if i could use the same head and plunger in both pumps it would make things alot easier .... maybe even modding a RD28 pump and fitting it on a TD42, it already has boost compensation and so on .... just thinking out loud ... any ideas or pointers would be apreciated ....

Rd 28 pumps i think are a 2 bolt flange, they are also a different length in the snout.

There is no reason you cant fit 12mm h&r to both. Just find a pump room that is willing to do it, then a dyno guy to finaly set them up.

By the way nissan pumps never came out with 12 mm head and rotors, only 11mm, this may be easier to do than modding a pump.

Is it only 11mm plunger in a TD42-T also??

I think RD28T in the GU has 11mm plunger, correct me if I`m wrong.
