Outer Limits 4x4 Board

i have installed extended shackles front and rear into my mq however in doing so you have to weld a shackle mount on to the rear end due to the original goin through the chassis rail..

doin this i believe has caused my mq to sit on a angle down wards at the front

i am just wondering wat ppl have done to correct the angle ie. did they weld some box steel on to the front end to space the front shacle mount down more or wat?? if so how did it hold up when out wheeling?? wat did ppl do to strengthen it?? and also wat size box steel was used??

How severe is the lean? I think most cars and 4b's lean to the front slightly

the lean is quite severe in my eyes probably around the 10-20 degree mark

i understand that most normally sit down in the front due to the engine weight and everything just it is much more than normal

not 100% sure of what u mean bout weld? why do u need to weld. can u post a pic.
mine was bolt off bolt on, but i did need to extend the main leafs.

Well tecnically your chassis is made of box section so as long as you use 4 - 6 mm box and the welds are good it should hold up fine.

these are the shackle mounts that have to be welded on i suppose they could be drilled and bolted on but i would prefer to weld them on

thanks ludacris i was thinking the same just unsure wat guys have done to strenthen it up if anything

shackle reversal and dropped front crossmember should set u straight

does any one have any good pics of the droped front crossmember am interested to see how it has been fabed
