Got a new job.
Bugger all wheeling for the next 18 months.
The Zook will be stored under a mates house, but not really driven at all. He will start her up every now and again, but what else should be done?
On blocks? - just so wheels are off ground or support chassis and all?
Fuel tank - full or empty / any suggested additives?
Disconnect battery?
Cover and forget?

Im sure people will add to this as i cant think of everything, but heres mostly what an old mate of mine did to his Landau and LTD to store em.

First get rid of battery altogether, it wont last the 18 months.
Only advantage of putting it on blocks is to stop tyres rotting on the contact patch, so you can do that if you like, or you could make sure your mate keeps em inflated.
Drain the fuel tank and fill the engine chockers with oil into the cylinders n everything, then drain it all and leave it for a few days when you get back.
Completely cover it up and block exhaust, snorkel, etc...

Really the best thing is for your mate to drive it for half hour or so at least every month, as then all the seals etc will keep lubed up.

If your mate is responsible, get him to drive it to work once a fortnight this would be by far the best for the vehicle, even just a start and run for 30 mins fortnightly would be good.
Otherwise, block it up, remove battery or hook it up to a "smart charger".

Dont cover it or you will cause rust & have it full of mouse sh1t.
If under the house is dry and not musty smelling it will be fine.

Best place to store it would be in Canberra. One week at Bret's place, One week at mine. ;)
Or just have your mate drive it once a week.

Sorry Zute,
My driveway is full - 3 vehicles Patrol, Zook and a Mazda 121 rollerskate.. and my shed has a camper in it. Looks like you and Sportage can share.
