onto the gearbox of an sd33 powered patrol?
its to upgrade my sd33t powered range rover, which is mated to the rover box via an adapter plate..it would be nice to bung the 4.2l version in,but the bolt up holes in the 4.2l would need to be the same as the sd33..are they??
thanks

No
You could always get a chev with an auto and an adaptor to fit your T/C as they are most likey available,
Isn't the sd33t similar in power to the NA td42? unless you wanted to turbo the 4.2 or the sd was stuffed?

thats a shame..

no my engine is lovely.giving about 130-175+hp,depending upon fueling(variable from in car cab)its just i fancy the 4.2 and turboing that...but didnt want to do much work,if it had just been a bolt in job..but since it isn't i will knock that idea on the head..

yeah not ,much real world difference, but the td43 is better economy.

The TD42 is a bit longer than the SD33 which might be a problem in a Range-Rover engine bay--especially if you have the looong LT95 bellhousing. If you could get it to fit, you could use the GQ 5 speed trans and give L.R.A a call and get their LT230- GQ trans adaptor.

yeah the sd33 only just fits!!have the lt77 box..no fan elec's mounted in front of rad..
re variable fueling..i am using mz pump,NOT sd33t pump..control the fueling by varing the boost pressure it see's..
YOU could however do the same on sd33t pump..screw the fueling up on the turbo boost plunger thingy(the bit that has pipe to manifold sensing boost, and varing extra fuel it delivers)thus giving you more power,BUT control the boost it see's using typical in car boost control valve..hense varing the fueling/power..NEED AN EGT gauge to set up..
