About to replace the old double DIN unit in my GU and was wondering if anyone has a diagram for the original wiring ? I know I can chase speaker wires and so on if need be but something with color codes would be sweet
Cheers

just use a test light for power, earth your going to have to run yourself as it comes in via the antenna plug for the original sterio.
its always a good idea to test before you hook it up anyway.

I just changed my radio over, bought one of those antenna adaptors, but they only work of one of the Patrols antenna, you might have to turn the plug around to get the right antenna to work. Oh and because only one antenna works the reception is not as good. I am trying to bridge the connectors on the adaptor so that both antennas work.
Sorry if this sounds confusing. Also Autobarn sell adaptors to plug into the exhisting harness, all you have to do is solder it to your new radio.
Approx cost $14 for the antenna adaptor and $12 for harness adaptor at a rough guree

No Probs, the second antenna on my GU looks like a window demister. It is on the passenger sids back window on the side

That I didn't know!
Must have been discontinued in the Series III. I know the ones you mean, the Subaru still use them (as do many others).
