Hi all,
With the fuel prices not quite the way they used to be, and all the talk of this gas rebate, I was wondering how the conversion would work on a 4.5 turbo 80 series? Is the conversion able to be done with the turbo?? Any info. would be muchly appreciated as I do not know much about gas at all.

turbo and gas is a match made in heaven. go straight gas and wind up the boost. gas has a higher octane the premium fuel so you can run more boost without pinging

Gas and turbo charged works well together. Awsome, and i can wind up the hair drier a bit, sounds like a plan. Is there anywhere in brisbane who does these conversions for turbo's ? i have just moved here so i don't know to much about who does what as yet? Thanks for the info guys

my old turbo 80 with 10 psi boost on leaded [94 octane, vs 91 ulp back then] was 221 rwkw the engine made its way into another car, after the guy i sold it to [storminnorman woodpecker 99 vid?] it went straight gas and 20 lb boost making 285 rw kw.
If i had one would go straight lpg,or straight petrol, not try and make both work.

Gas anywhere north of about Cairns is very limited. Cooktown may have it, but I don't remember seeing it.
This is the one downfall of having strictly gas, is the remote travelling.

when i spoke to parnell they said there injectors will only handle upto 50hp per injetor at the flywheel so that only 300hp for a 6 cylinder. theres a new system coming on the market soon that is handleing 1200hp twin turbo v8s without a problem.
