Not 4wd, in my boat
when i put ignition on fuel gauge jumps staright to full (?as far foward as possible) and will even stay there when ignition switched off until i tap the gauge.
IS the gauge dead? sender dead? power probs? any help is great as im now lost to find answer.

I recently saw a similar problem on a truck - the sender connector wasn't seated properly, so the gauge sat full scale (past "full".) If this is your problem, it's possible the needle is sticking at the full scale position, and if you stop the full scale problem, you may not have a sticking problem.

I suggest you start by removing and inspecting the sender.

Good luck,

Scott
