Ultimate tyre size for winch challenge events?

Just wondering what tyre size you guys from the Winch challenge events and outback challenge would run if there were no restrictions?
Is the 35 or 36 inch size big enough?
Would you run bigger tyres if it wasn't against the rules of the events or would you stay around that size due to the high speed stuff?
Any ideas?

I think Q78's measure 36.5x12.5, not sure.. but they are about that

Weird no one is vouching for 35x10.5 ETs seeing that they are doing the best performance...

I think a 35-36 is probably as big as you would want to go for reliability reasons. both these events require high speed at times and to build a car strong enough to handle say a 40 -44 would probably be at the detrement of speed and handling. Also you will find that the bigger tyre size really would n't be much of an advantage due to the nature of the obstacles.
Another aspect is insurance and alot of the tyres bigger than 35 aren't speed rated.

Rule 5D(1)
Tyre and wheel combinations are restricted to a measured 36.5” diameter and 13.5” width. (These measurements are horizontal measurements with tyre pressure at 24psi.)
I think Simex ET's have been tyre of choice recently in 35", I suspect the 36" ET will be popular in this years comp.

Those were the xtreme winch challenge rules I posted. The short course rule 3a is:
Maximum tyre size is 36.5" as measured loose with 20 psi
I assume loose means means off the car.

It would be sweet if you can get away with a 37x13 bogger if that can happen at that real size...mmmmm...

you can run a 37 bogger, cheezy ran them in 2002 at the ateco. Only problem was since he was running boogers, he rolled his car on to its side again. But if a 37 bogger fits in just then so will a 37 TSL.
So you could run TSL's on the front and boggers on the rear.

why not run different tread patterns. If they are the same size, and you think it would work go for it.
And I reckon if you got enough neddies under the hood, then TSL on the front and boggers on the back would be good.
I currently run 3 bald 33 cooper SST's and a 33 BFG Mud. (must get that other one fixed)
