100 Series fuel questions

Have an issue with a 100 Series Solid Axle 2000 model petrol. All of a sudden will not run on the Main tank, only the Sub tank. Seems to starve of fuel when switched over to main tank. My thoughts are the Fuel Solinoid.
Question # 1 Any suggestions regarding this fuel issue?
Question #2 How do these tanks work from a plumbing perspective. I know the 80 Series used to pump the Sub-tank into the main when you activated the switch, the Hundred appears to keep the two tanks seperate. Is this the case?
Question #3 I have run the Sub nearly empty (According to the guage) and been able to get about 40 Litres in it, but the main is another issue. I can run another 120km once the fuel light comes on, and the needle will be well below the empty mark, yet I can only squeeze 80 Litres in it. What mark is the warning light supposed to come on at? 25% left?
Thanks for the advice.
