is it possible to lower the steering column inside the vehicle? i got some bucket seats which sit a bit low and at the moment will be looking through the steering wheel while driving, it only needs to go down a little, its an '87 LWB sierra...

Couldn't be that hard to do, kinda depends on how much you want to drop it. There are 2 bolts that hold the column on via a U shaped strap around the column. If you take the shroud off the column you should be able to see them pretty easy. If you replace those bolts with longer ones and put some packers (spacers) in there that will drop the column. From memory there is a uni joint at the floor that will take up the difference in angle (I could go & check but it's raining out :finger: ), otherwise that is something you will need to address. Also there should be enough slack in the loom to drop the column a little.
