Just ask for some heavier coils. To be sure measure you coil diameter, number of turns and free height and make sure what you are getting is heavier.

What colour are your springs and how old are they.

there yellow springs, i bought the rig as is.
last owner reckons its perfect,
but not to my liking, id like to cum down an inch or two and firmer.
if i cum down a little will it affect shockers( ranchos)?

yellow sound like kings, your shocks shouldnt bottom out, but you may need to retain your your springs to stop them falling out on full flex. from what ive seen dobbinson coils are ether red or green.

Your coils are most likely Dobinsons as the previous owner has stated.

Lovells coils are blue, Dobinsons aqua colour, Kings yellow but once you get over a 2 or 3 inch lift the colour will depend on what the supplier has requested in other words it could be any colour under the rainbow and be any brand. All these brands are very high quality but they are built to your suppliers specs. So just because it may be really soft or stiff or high it will depend on whether your supplier knows what he is doing or knows what you want to whether you get a coil that is anywhere near what you are looking for.

Your idea of soft might be someone elses idea of firm depending on their previous experience so it is a good idea to have your specs with you so you have a guide.
