Server blow through to the rocker cover?

Engine is a 2.4 diesel.

With the engine running, misses, blows a little smoke when it misses and not real happy at idle.

Take the oil filler cap off and you basically have a new exhaust outlet out of the top of the rocker cover (heaps of pressure, white smoke) , more or less and trying to decide on dying or leaping out of the engine bay.

Broken valve, spring, rocker arm, timing belt stretched, rings?

Any ideas???

Sounds like ring failure, though i couldn't rule out the others.

if a valve was broken\ bent it would most likely give u problems at more than off idle.

timing belts dont usually strectch they just get to the point where they snap or shere of the teeth of the belt. ( not pritty really),

not a diesel expert but sounds like a blow by, ring sort of problem.

goodluck with it mate.
