Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a mate that is thinking of getting a Surf. Is there anything that I should tell him to look out for, any years better than any others etc. He will not be doing a lot of high country trips but will probably head up north and into the centre a bit.

yes get a KZN 130, this is a 3ltr turbocharged surf.
Then do a 2" suspension lift and 2" bodylift fit 33`s and some air lockers and your set

Thanks for the replies and the link. There is a lot of god info there. I think he will look at the 3.0l as he intends to pull a trailer from time to time so the extra capacilty would help
