Beware of lockers though.
My friend has an LJ70, locked the front diff, went mud plugging, and blew up the UJ on the wheel end of a driveshaft.
Problem is if a wheel gets jammed (bogged down in deep mud for example) and the diff is locked it keeps putting power to the stuck wheel and BANG!!!!

Why did your friend not turn off the front locker? Assuming he can turn it off. Front mounted lockers will chew up the CV joints faster. I have ARB in the rear of my LJ70. Only turn it on when needed and off as soon as.

He never actually had switchable lockers. He just locked the front diff and used free wheeling hubs on road.

Boys.....The toyota lsd is good for on road use, or safer on road, unlike the nissan that is tail happy and leave black marks on twisty driveways because it has a strong lsd...and in Toyotas' defense, they offer lockers as an option on some models...remember that you have to get to and from the dirt aswell, and all auto lockers are severe on drivetrain and tyres....the ARB is the best option, beware the lockrite in a worn lsd, as the teeth will be worn in the diff, and it wont work properly.....i would be looking at putting the locker up front. Try some 95/140 lsd gear oil in the back...helps a bit.
