Has anyone running rears in front, with a single case and 4 speed been able to utilise the stock driveshaft splined section?

I don't run the 4spd box but that shouldn't matter much. I tried using the staock slip joint but there isn't enough length. You need about 120mm (based on primitive measurements) of usable length plus extra to ensure that everything stays engaged and doesn't fall out.

looks like i am making a slip section then, i have some honed tube to use this time so it should be a little more in balance

I wouldn't worry too much about being in ballance - you've seen mine.

It's not that much of a problem :D

Can you get me some thick walled honed tube for my rear shaft?
