I have been ssearching for a jimny power steering box and decided to call suzuki spare parts to find out what a new on would be worth as i cannot find a second hand one. Now the guy tried to search for one but could not find it without a vin number off a jimny with power steering.

Could someone help me out with a vin considering the suzuki employie was to rude and dumb to go and have a look at one of the jimnys he had in his lot. (wanker)

second hand the price would be aroud the $1100 mark.....

new who knows....

but consider this......a jimny 4sp auto is $7500 new from suzuki spare parts.........

Find and adapt a vitara setup as Christover did in his thread....a lot more vitara's around and should be able to get a setup for around the $500 and alittle fab work......

They cant search for them as on their computers all it gives them to go by is alot of mumble jumble letters(vin code) so without it, you are trying to find needles in haystacks.....

ask someone on here for there vin code.

I have allready PM a vin number to jono. I think suzuki is worried they will order the wrong part to. You get use to the vin number thing. I can just about remember it.

You could possibly buy an entire power steering set up from suziworld in Heidleberg for a lot less than that???

I got a 2nd hand full Vitara set up off a mate cheap, but I was quoted around $400 from suziworld for a complete set up.
I not sure if you can buy a box by itself?
Apparently the toyota cressida and similar cars have a good ps box thats easy to adapt, but haven't looked closely into that. There would be lots of info on outers about that.
