Maverick Utes

Does anyone know if the 88 model Maverick Utes were coil sprung or leaf sprung.

Pretty sure they're leaf. It's basically the old MQ with a new dash and a couple of panels.
But you do get the 4.2 from memory

I would like to know something along the same subject....
My parts book is a January 1986 version so I don't know much past this date. But did Nissan put an H233 in the front of MK's at the end of production? If not than is the 1988 GQ's basically an MK as you said? If that is the case would a H233 front from an 1988 GQ that was leaf sprung work in my MQ? Or is it the GQ diff just leaf sprung?
I am asking because I would like to upgrade my front C200 diff to an H233.

its a gq diff but leaf sprung
alot wider than an mq diff.
the early gq utes are leaf sprung and look like an mq ute even got the no bubble cab and non flared gaurds. but all the running gear is gq ......... 4.2 gq width diffs and a centre output transfer

So in other words a front H233 from an early leaf GQ is not going to work. At least not as far as bolt in and go...
The question still remains though....did very late production MK's have a H233 front, ie 1987 MK?

Neighbour had one and it was leaf...Ford Mav badges but leaf front and rear, with square headlights and different grille.

as far as i kno they were mk mavericks. rather rare bit they had H260 rear and c200 front

No, There were no MQ's or MK's with H233B Diff's front. They came out with the GQ series only. The front is H233B and the rear on the Leaf Sprung units was a H260 with either a Conventional or LSD.
