Spark Plug Leads

Had my GQ serviced today. LPG tune up.

I changed the engine and gearbox oils and bled the brakes. Will put a new air filter on tomorrow. So I sent it in today to get the LPG tuned and the valves adjusted. While he was at it he changed the plugs aswell. It seems the last person to change the plugs neglected to change plug number 6, as it is a bastard to get too - and it was DEAD  Might explain the rough running ;) Runs really well now

Anyway, he didnt change the leads as it was a bit over my budget before payday. But when I picked it up, he wasnt there. So I dont know what leads to run for straight LPG. I remember him saying Bosch on the phone, but not what variety.

Anyone shed light on the best lead for straight LPG ?

I have Bosch resistor free leads. LPG systems require spark plugs without resistors as well as low resistance leads. You can actually find the leads as they have LPG compatible on the box when you get them.

Not sure on the part number myself as mine are in a 7" lifted GQ and be screwed if i can get up that high to check under the bonnet :)

You can check the resistance of your leads before you change them if you want. As long as none of the leads are over 12K ohms, you don't need to replace them. If one lead or more is over 12K ohms, then replace them as a set, as when one lead starts to play up, the others tend to follow shortly after. As for brands, I don't really think one is better than the other. I have standard leads on my my dual fuel gq and they've given me trouble free operation for the last 5 years.

gq efi dual fuel. Correct leads unless you want to get custom made.

I run straight LPG.

Looks like these will do. I hope so, because I bought them :D
