Is it an aftermarket tacho? or the factory SD33t tacho?

my understanding is the tacho is connected to the back of the alternator, but don't quote me on that.

you will find that the connector is on the front of the injection pump timing case - should be a round magnetic connector that fits into it
they only thing is that i never knew that the SD33 came with a tacho standard?? SD33T did...hhmmm hope this helps, can also take a photo for you if need be

the tacho wasn't standard on the sd33, only on the sd33t so there is no "plug" on the timing cover. How do you go about putting one on the back of the alternator?
