I have a mecahnical auxilary water temp gauge which i want to fit to my GQ ute, i was just wondering where the sensor is meant to go. I had a quick look at it and appears i may need a T piece so that i can still retain the orginal temp gauge. Any information would be greatly appreciated
cheers

If you want you can get one of these adapters, it goes into your top hose. You can buy them to fit all hose sizes, and they are available from Autobarn or you can buy the on the Internet from Just Jap, I think that is what they call themselves.

I think these people sell them on ebay.

Thanks jcclures, i will look into it. I was just wondering, do you think the fitting will effect the flow of water much, or would it be so neglible that it would not mater.

I would think that it would have only a minor affect, if any, but you will get a water temp at the hottest point as it is just before the radiator which I think is important.

What about drilling and taping another hole? if there is enough meat and space nearby to get away with it.
