Diesel engine oil flush

Hey I've just bought the oil flush treatment from

COST EFFECTIVE MAINTENANCE

Anyone used this or have experience with it??

Yeah use it every 5000km when i drop mine :D
Because you have to drive around for 30mins i think it is; When you put it in you will find the engine feels free like there is way less resistance. Have experienced the same effect in two trucks so far and have only tried it in two.
It is great that you only use a tiny amount; mate thought i was full of crap when i gave him a measured sample to try with, thought i was being stingey :roll:
I had a complete engine flush prior to using this stuff but it seems to do the job quite well.
I did write about it if you search it is in here somewhere ;)

I just poor some deisel down to flush it out. Then run about 3litres of just deisel for about 2 mins then drain. Cleans out the engine well.

Do you have to leave it awhile before refilling Willy? And what motor do you do it with? My old 2H could do with a flush out

I have done this... dropped out, mixed up bout 1lt of diesel with 5lts of cheap oil, idled for about 10 mins then dropped this...

didnt really notice much difference. Before you change the oil grab a bit of the dipstick in between your fingers, rub it around and then wipe it off. If your fingers stay black then it might be worth while doing and engine flush, it they wipe up pretty clean then there is no real benefit to doing the flush.

if you look at the amount of product in a commercially available engine flush you will find it is only about 250ml. It also says to not drive vehicle with engine flush additive in oil. This is because you will load up the bearings and cause premature wear. I also use diesel but only 1 cupful in the 1HZ.

I did the CEM thing in my 2.8 lux as i was only getting about 4L of oil out each time i found once i ran the CEM flush got about 5.5L out dont ask where it was hiding and after about 3 oil changes doing the flush the oil didn't stain my fingers anymore, imo well worth it.

It states to add half to one hour before you are going to drop the oil and to drive normally :!:

Not advisable to do it after 200 000k's on the clock. It can remove carbon deposits between the piston and the rings and you may find that it will burn oil and blow smoke.

I have heard that the 3 roll version is still around and Mercedes have just acknowledged that with the device fitted on their trucks the oil does not have to be changed.

such a simple idea. and it all makes sense....

I was going to try the cem in my cruiser 300k on the clock but after reading that iam not so sure... :?

Mitchellbros have you seen or heard alot of this happening? Cause i never thought of that and i dont want to do a rebuild just yet............

When I got my turbo serviced/tuned the guys at Hiway Diesel said not to run any sort of oil flush as it was more detrimental than good.

I have also been told this by several diesel mechanics including the guys that rebuilt my 2H motor.

They rekon they get alot of work out of people doing oil flushes.

Just do some oil changes once a week for a month. that will clean out, and not harm your motor.
I see it as 100 dollars of insurance ;)
