clutch hyd sys prob

finally puttin the disco back 2gether and hooked up the cluch pushed the pedal in once got halfway then pop and the pedal hits the floor seems like the master cyl is not pumping but it moves the slave piston but will not supply pressure it worked fine before seems strang that it has happened now (r380 300tdi disco)

Bled properly, its the most common thing, they're pricks to bleed

ive found bleeding is difficult, ive found on my rangie that the line from the master to the slave runs along the fire wall but the line is above or slightly higher than the master, ive spent hours trying to bleed it up, then unscrewed the saddles holding it and gentley bent the the line so it sat below the master then after a few pumps it pushed the air lock out of the system and bent and secured it back into its original postion

Yep. I had heaps of problems bleeding my clutch. I think it was guys on this site that gave me the tips on how to do it.

The problem is that the clutch line runs higher at one point than the filler so you need to get some tube about the size of the filler and extend the filler up higher while you bleed it. (I hope that makes sense). After doing this...bleeding was easy.

the slave piston popped out a bit lettin fluid out and air in still gotta bleed it but everything else is done pretty much so will try get the air out of the line in the morning
