Rodeo lower control arm bushes

Does anyone know who makes or sells poly-ureathane bushes for the lower control arms on a Rodeo?

My old rubber ones are flogged out so it's time to replace them.

Has anyone done this job themselves? In the manual it says to use special tool part no. bla bla to remove the bushes but would'nt an appropriate size socket be okay to use as a drift too?

Sometimes this manual lacks a few finer details of procedures too so it'd be good to hear from someone whose done this job.

cheers, sudso

Sudso,
Youve flogged out the lower bushes? impressive.
Mate, try Holden and or Pedders, I cant remember but I have a very vague memory that Pedders only had the upper bushes, this may have changed so check.

They can be a right front bum to remove even with a press, it took pedders near me an hour for one side, he wasnt very happy, I was he said hed do it for $10 expecting a 10min job for all 4.
Try useing a suitably sized bolt , nut and washer and socket to pull the bush out of the control arm, from there go to a press/heat/swearing etc, it really depends on how much beach / mud youve drive through as to how hard they'll be to shift.
Use a smear of anti sieze on the new ones when they go in.

Since youve got it all apart and the torsion bars all but out, now is a good time to disassemble, clean and lube your torsion bar adjusters, and torsion bar splines, reassemble with anti seize.
Also the chassis hangers for the torsion bar adjusters and the cross member are wonderful dirt/sand traps, clean these right out, chip out all the RUST, treat with rust coverter, prime ,paint and then spray with KO66 or tectyl to keep out the water/sand/mud.
Oh and enjoy yourself :)).

No, I'm after poly urethane ones where Holdens only have rubber ones.
Just trying to find out who makes aftermarket ones as I've had no luck yet.

Just a query :?:

How hard is it to remove the arms themselves? Do I need to lower the torsion bars and will they need reindexing or is it as simple as jacking the front end up marking were the arm sits in relation to the bar and remove?

Cheers
