What air con to use with Ford V8

Have a 302 cleveland in a Ford Maverick and would like to install an air con setup b4 summer comes. I am guessing that an old York compressor would fit?? But do they work well on the newer gas or is there a better alternative?

My 351 Clevland came witha York but it was not as smooth as a rotary compressor. The GQ Mav I own has a rotary compressor and it is very good.
By the way what adapter kit did you use to mate to the gear box . Is it a manual 5 speed or auto.

It's a manual, I bought it like that.
