I searched and can't find much detailed info on the applause engine conversion into a ferzoa.

What are the things to look out for ? Can i just put my feroza efi manafold and sump on the applause engine and drop it in ?

What else do i need to look at ?

What model applause engine do i need ?

Thanks for the info champs

Nick

hey there. afaik, there are two kinds of appaluse engines. the difference between the two are the bolt patterns for the transmission. as long as you know the bolt pattern for the feroza and can match it up, you'll be fine.

the following things will need to be swapped over: oil pick up, oil sump, water pump (if app.), ac (if app), alternator, oil cooler, fly wheel, clutch assmb, exhaust, intake (be aware of carbie or injected. makes a difference in the vaccuum lines), dizzy, and i think that about sums it up unless i forgot something. very straight forward and pretty easy to do.

Nick, if you keep it all in one thread (instead of asking the same question in another and then starting this one!?!) it would make things a lot easier! ;)

As I said SEARCH!

http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... t=applause

Most of the info is in that thread.

If you've got any more questions then please add them onto the above thread (which I will add to the FAQ post.)

Swap the sumps, take the oil cooler off the old donk and put it on the new one and you're in business.

Just leave the Applause distributor and inlet manifold on the new motor.... a lot less mucking around.

AJ - the Feroza intake manifold is slightly differnt in that it has an air bleed from the manifold to the radiator top - whereas the Applause one does not. This can cause air locks and overheating if neglected...

IMO its worth changing to the Feroza manifold.

OK, wasn't aware of that MM, might explain a couple of little issues I was having. Can you describe it in more detail?

IMO its worth changing to the Feroza manifold.
Edit....OK. Read it again and you're talking about the small hose from the manifold to the radiator. At first I thought you meant a manual bleed like some cars have!
