I have changed to Hilux diffs under my Sierra. Running coils and vit power steer but cant get full lock to lock as pitman arm seems too short. Is there any other pitman arms that fit or other ways to sort out the steering? How have others done theirs?
Cheers

Was hoping not to change the box but might have to if need be. Have heard something about other arms fitting but cant remember what it was off. Cheers

Yep the Vit box is a pain in the ass ......With mine with 60 series diffs (Under Vit) ....I plan to just to run it intially (will have rear disconect to help with front turns
but that wont always work in some situations, so after that Its full HYDRO
......but will be costly and not legal for road use
The steering box swap would be a pain in the ass for me as I now have panhard brkts and shock hoops that are in the way ....and I aint moving em ......
there was talk of fabbin a custom pitman arm ,but I still havent got my head around how to actually make it wrk

did one , left the vitara pitman arm and i removed the kingpin steer arm off the hilux diff and and an engineering mob cut and shut it to the same centre to centre length of the vitara pitman arm

Im running an 80 series box and it has more turning circle than I can deal with my tyre hit my lower control arms well before the box has come to its limits also a 60 series box is good to use.
